The Brand New York Giants placed a tender on Victor Cruz, prior to free agency started. With the first-round tender, if any group needed to sign Cruz, they'd have to submit their first-round pick in the 2013 NFL draft to the Giants. And together with that, they would have to sign Cruz to a contract, in which the Giants have every right to match if they want to maintain Cruz. With groups just like the St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings with two first-round picks in April's draft, we have wondered should they would get in the blend for Cruz. E. Louis has not expressed curiosity, and the Vikings chose to sign Packers vast recipient Greg Jennings after dealing Percy Harvin to the Seahawks. There was also the tweet by Indianapolis Colts manager Jim Isray saying he was in the combination for a possible business for a broad receiver, but it turns out it was not for Cruz. In accordance with Adam Schefter of ESPN, it's impossible a group in the NFL can dish out an sheet to Cruz before the April 19 contract. Cruz might sign the first-round sore, which may pay him a, $2.9 million package for 2013, however Cruz is in hopes for a long-term agreement with the Giants. A new agent was hired by cruz in Tom Condon, who is the agent for recent Giants Eli Manning, Mark Herzlich, Mathias Kiwanuka and former Giant Osi Umenyiora. Condon arranged all of their offers and will probably try to negotiate a deal that will prefer equally the Giants and Cruz by meeting in the middle. Al Bello/Getty Photos Wes Welker got $6 million from the Denver Broncos, and Cruz could probably get more in an offer from the Giants, although not as much as Mike Wallace did from the Miami Dolphins, that was $12 million. The 26-year-old Paterson native has recorded two straight 1,000-yard months for the Giants with 19 whole touchdowns. Unless some thing changes between now and April 19, Cruz will likely be using the Giants in 2013. What's yet to be established is if he'll have a deal or long-term deal while doing this. Keep tuned in, Giants fans.
