Chelsea to manage Guy Utd in FA Cup - Fox Sports

Yet another fantasy sport... it's Chelsea v Manchester United in the FA Cup. Source: Darren Walsh / AAP Slots Chelsea ground out a win at second-tier Middlesbrough to set up an FA Cup quarter-final style tie at Manchester United. Second-half targets from Ramires and Victor Moses secured victory at the Riverside Stadium as Chelsea bounced back from Sunday's 2-0 loss at Manchester City, which lowered them to fourth place in the Premier League. Success in the fifth-round tie means Chelsea remain on course for what would be considered a sixth FA Cup title in eight months. Temporary boss Rafael Benitez has complained about fixture congestion in recent weeks, but together with his part also still in contention in the Europa League, the European champions seem set for a busy few weeks. Chelsea made nine changes sideways crushed by City at the weekend, with Fernando Torres and skipper John Terry both time for the starting line-up. Oscar and Moses also came ultimately back to the team and they nearly combined to break the deadlock in the 11th minute, but Oscar could not get enough buy on the shot from his teammate's cut-back. Chelsea started authoritatively but because the first half used on, Middlesbrough went back into the game. In the 26th minute, Australian striker Scott McDonald came close to opening the rating but his header from Nicky Bailey's right-wing corner drifted narrowly large of the right-hand post. Closer five minutes were gone even by the hosts before halftime, with Petr Cech dropping a go from Boro winger Mustapha Carayol and obliging a hurried clearance to be made by Terry. It for that reason came as some thing as a relief to the guests when Ramires put them in-front six minutes into the second half. Yossi Benayoun set the ball back to Ramires and his put shot from the side of the field defeat goalkeeper Jason Steele with the assistance of a small deflection off the back of the crouching Torres. The goal calmed Chelsea's nerves and after Steele had tipped over a go from Torres, Terry headed wide at a large part. Eden Hazard replaced Benayoun and the Belgian rapidly developed Chelsea's second target in the 73rd second, nicely trading moves with Oscar and racing to the box before squaring for Moses to report from close range. The hosts created a flurry of late chances, with Cech significantly keeping from Ishamel Miller, but Chelsea survived to take a few of the heat off the under-fire Benitez and take their place in the last ten.
