A European-style knockout event is arriving at America this summer. Three of the seven clubs involved have now been announced, and their identities should develop lots of enthusiasm. It's called the International Champions Cup, and Real Madrid and Juventus have now been established as engaging. The third established club may be the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl broke the story Monday: The brand new tournament, that is being named the International Champions Cup, will need place all over the U.S., with the last at Miami's Sun Life Stadium. You will have two groups of foura'Eastern and Western groups. The match, that includes a significant name recruit and a TV deal, is likely to be formally declared on Tuesday in Miami, with results from many of the participating groups on hand. ESPN FC reports that the match is defined to begin July 27 with a group match in Europe. Phoenix, San Francisco Bay Area and Indianapolis may allegedly host team suits, with semifinals established for Nyc and La on Aug. 3-4. The report also notes that the tournament already has a title sponsor and that television coverage is in the pipeline for 151 countries. If you're an American and a lover of the beautiful game, this should be good news. It is difficult to not be excited by what is going on here. As Wahl notes, the ICC is overtaking the mantle of the Entire World Football Challenge, which for decades gave fans just one-off events. The ICC will instead provide group and knockout periods. If top teams keep making the trip to the U.S. The overall game is likely to keep increasing stateside, each summer. With Real Madrid taking part, American supporters could have another chance to see Cristiano Ronaldo, who is perhaps the most valuable person on the planet. Real Madrid also performed in the U.S. last summer. Juventus currently lead Serie A and might enter the contest as back-to-back Italian champions. The official news, that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been forced back again to later this week (per Wahl's Twitter account ): The formal story and the coming months must fill in a number of the breaks, including the identities of the other five teams in the contest. Until then, we are able to only speculate about which clubs can fill in the subject. Which groups have you been wanting will take part?
