Wilfried Zaha admits he'll be 'starstruck' when he meets his new Manchester ... - Metro

Wilfried Zaha admits he'll be 'a bit starstruck' when he finally completes his move to Manchester United in the summer.

The Crystal Palace winger sealed a £17million switch to the Premier League Champions back in January but has returned to the Championship with the Eagles until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, who insists his current priority is helping Palace secure a play-off spot, accepts that after watching Sir Alex Ferguson's side capture an historic 20th league title with a 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Monday he can't expect to walk straight into the starting line-up and is determined to fight for his place.

'I'm just anxious and excited,' said Zaha.  'I cannot wait. It will be something different. When I walk into that dressing room at United, I do not now what I will feel. I will keep my head down as I am there to play  football.

'But I have to admit I will be a bit starstruck. [Robin] van Persie and [Ryan] Giggs will be there, Wayne Rooney will be there – amazing. How can I not be looking forward to this?

'I have to be patient. I do not expect to walk in and play week-in, week-out. Once I get the chance I will take it.'

'All I can do is keep my head down. I have to try to cope with this success, while doing my best for Palace until the end of the season.'
