Jason Heyward Injury: Updates on Braves Star's Appendectomy

Atlanta Braves outfielder Jason Heyward experienced successful appendectomy surgery Monday night, the team declared through Twitter: Bill Shanks of the Macon Telegraph added: The 23-year-old, who made the All-Star team in his rookie campaign in 2010, had a down season in 2011 before rebounding last year. After batting.269 with 27 residence runs, 82 RBI, 93 runs and 21 stolen bases last period, Heyward has gotten down to a gradual start in 2013, batting.121 in 17 games (58 at-bats) in the No. 2 place in the Braves collection. Despite Heyward's challenges, the Braves have still had the opportunity to go 13-5 this year. They hold the top ERA in Major League Baseball (2.36) and players such as Justin Upton, Chris Johnson, Evan Gattis and Juan Francisco have stepped up at the menu, softening the blow (Atlanta ranks 16th in runs scored). The Braves dropped three of four games against the Pittsburgh Pirates a week ago, on one other hand. They won a combined three works in these losses. The club would like to see Heyward's bat arrive at life. The Braves currently direct the National League East, prior to the Nyc Mets and Washington Nationals. They play the 13-5 Colorado Rockies at Coors Field next. As he looks to leave a rough starting to the summer season behind him perhaps the nothing of Colorado may jump-start Heyward.
