The Cleveland Cavaliers have just dismissed head coach Byron Scott. The group reported that the 52-year-old was being relieved of his responsibilities on Thursday morningAvia NBA.com. In accordance with Lloyd,AteamAownership already has a brief list of candidates to interview and plans to employ a replacement quickly. Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw, Golden State Warriors assistant Henry Malone, Miami Heat assistant DavidAFizdale, former Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy and former coach Paul Brown are typical apparently up for consideration. Cleveland is apparently contemplating Mike Brown for his old gig.Gregory Shamus/Getty Images Owner Dan Gilbert is devoted to putting a winning product back on the court, and anybody of those men will be an upgrade over Scott, specially defensively. Under Scott, Cleveland was consistently one of the worst teams in the group in terms of competitors' field-goal percentage. The Cavs helped 47.6 per cent of images against them to drop in 2012-13, 46.7 last season and 47.5 in 2010-11. Those are merely inappropriate figures for a squad that should be close to the edge of contending for a spot in the poor Eastern Conference. Brown could be an appealing hire, as seasons were spent five by the coach with the Cavaliers during the LeBron James period. Van Gundy is another big name, and the one that many have the Orlando Magic steel unjustly fired. Due to Dwight Howardas trade needs and antics during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 campaign, Van Gundy lost his joba'despite having never missed the playoffs in his five-year tenure with the corporation. His proven track record and ability to provide teams with out a plethora of stars deep into the postseason would perfectly match the Cleveland Cavaliers. Irrespective of whom the staff workers, there will be lofty expectations entering the 2013-14 season. The Cavs are willing to claim and must make the leap forward; itas only likely to get the right coach to steer them through the growing pains.
